Olabode Oruku is a certified herbal consultant. He is a nutritional and natural healthcare consultant, health and wealth coach, and adverse belief-clearing practitioner.

He was honored on the 25th, June 28, 2021, as Africa's most outstanding herbal health consultant of the year. The event, Developments In Africa Merit Awards 2021 (DAMA 2021), took place at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State. 

He is the CEO/Founder of Oruku Alternative Healthcare. The company was born out of his desire to fill a missing gap in the health industry and add value to his clients' lives. 

The other factor is his health challenges from childhood to early adulthood which seemed to defy conventional medical treatments. He developed a strong desire to live a healthier and wholesome life. Through extensive studies and research, Oruku realized that most ailments and health challenges have their root cause in an individual's lifestyle and emotional state. This discovery led to changes in his attitude and lifestyle, which resulted in a total turnaround in his health, as he now enjoys the benefits of healthy living. That convinced him that he could help others enjoy healthy living.

His entrepreneurial journey was motivated by a lack of job satisfaction and facing financial challenges. He is usually broke before the end of the month, which led to his resignation from his role as a data processing assistant manager at a publishing firm.

As an entrepreneur, his desire has always been to work from home. So he took several online courses and mastered how the internet works. He applied his knowledge to help companies establish Internet marketing departments. Before, he shifted focus to running his internet marketing business to meet targeted market needs in the health and wellness industry.

Today, Oruku has a license as a herbal practitioner with the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board. He has a passion for personal growth and has been attending herbal and alternative training for more knowledge to help his clients enjoy good health.  

Certified Herbal Consultant: Early Life and Education

Olabode Oruku was born in Lagos on 14th December 1962 to the Late Ambassador Nurudeen Ayoola Oruku of Oka-Akoko, Ondo State, and Mrs. Oruku Olusola from Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He started his education at Hope Children Nursery and Primary School, Ojo, Lagos State 1970. He went on to secondary school at Victory High School, Ikeja, from which he graduated in 1981. After taking up some casual jobs as an insurance salesman and hotel attendant, he proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin. He graduated with an OND in Statistics in 1986 and HND in Statistics in 1989. He served in the mandatory one-year NYSC from 1989 to 1990.

Certified Herbal Consultant: Career and Business

Oruku started his professional working career as a Stock Control Officer at Macmillan Publishers, Lagos 1991. He also served as the Macmillan Society Cooperative (MASCOOP) president for three years. He resigned in the year 2003 as the Data Processing Manager. 

His passion for impacting lives with valuable knowledge led to his role as a Financial Standard Weekly Newspaper columnist under the pen name 'MegaBucks' from 2005 to 2008 and the Daily Independent from 2005 to 2009. Oruku was also a contributing writer for Communications Week from 2009 to 2012.

During this period, he also made huge investments in his personal development, reading voraciously and enrolling in various online courses. In 2010 he became a certified trainer by Site Sell Education based in Canada. The acquired knowledge broadened his capacity to monetize his online platform, www.nigeriawebsuccess.com. 

 He consulted for companies, including MasterMarks Limited and Realty Point Limited, among the top-ranking websites in Nigeria's real estate sector. 

After a partnership with Oak Computers Limited, Oruku focused entirely on his internet marketing business. Working from home, he operates a successful online health and wealth business. He has forged a strategic partnership with Kedi Healthcare Nigeria Limited to build a consistent residual and leveraged income stream. 

Also, he currently serves as the Treasurer of Prime Asset Housing Cooperative Multi-purpose Society.
