Your Business Perception Creates Your Reality

Your business perception goes a long way to determining your success or failure. Here is an analogy to buttress my point. In the olden days, sailors feared venturing far into the distant ocean because they thought the earth was flat as a table. They felt they would slip down and perish in the bottomless sea when they reached the planet's edge. We know today that this is not true.

The wrong perception creates fear and bars them from venturing into new places that could have helped their career success. The exciting thing about the story is that we hardly ever get all the information and still make up our minds based on our perception of an issue.
So what is perception? It is a particular way of thinking about something determined by our exposure, experience, and how we weigh issues objectively. We can see that perception is a specific way of thinking about something.

Understanding Business Perception

Whether in business or another aspect of our lives, we naturally fill in the missing information with seeming probable explanations. So, in essence, we are creating a story about why something happened.
Whatever you are experiencing in your businesses, you only need a slight shift in perception to make massive changes. Just a tiny shift changes everything. You must be able to look for new options beyond the situation you see.
The late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, of blessed memory, used the opportunity in prison to write “Thoughts on Nigeria Constitution” and make copious notes for “Strategy and Tactics of the People’s Republic of Nigeria.”
So how can you change your bitter business experiences? Again it all has to do with business perception, and it can be infinite. How many possibilities you see is only limited by your ability to change your perceptions. You can discover things you have never seen before by changing your business perception.
For example, you have been frustrated by a network marketing business opportunity. It may be your fault, joining the wrong company or a bad sponsor. If now you are invited to a new one, certain areas of your brain announce to the rest of the mind, “it’s a scam.” Other parts of your brain suppress any perceptions that this one may be real and the business that will give you the financial freedom you seek.
The past perception has shut down any further processing by the rest of your brain by believing “all network marketing businesses are scams. You can stop now.”
It is what puts up the boundaries in our business perception. It stops us from seeing other possibilities and becomes the walls that get us stuck. Suppose other areas of your brain were allowed to continue processing and ignore the perception that they are all scams. In that case, you can see new possibilities in the network marketing business.
You can only change your business perception and see the network marketing business differently. All you need is the willingness to shift your perception and remove those existing boundaries by asking yourself, “can this be different?”
It does not imply that everyone will have the same results. Your success is by your desire, willingness to work, and focus on positive thinking. In the words of Howard Shultz, owner of Starbucks coffee, “I believe a lot of what we ascribe to luck is not luck at all. It’s seizing the day and accepting responsibility for your future. It’s seeing what other people don’t see and pursuing that vision.”
To think about something is to give it vitality and energy. Suppose a significant proportion of your thinking is about financial problems, which causes economic hardship to be worse. So thinking about how to pay the bills only worsen the situation because you will achieve the opposite of what is desirable. What do you want in place of financial problems and poverty?
The opposite is prosperity. By thinking about wealth instead of poverty, the financial problems starved energy and vitality. You cut off their life supply by withdrawing your attention from undesirable conditions. Eventually, they die a natural death and disappear.
So not thinking about how to pay the bills or where the money will come from will eventually starve the situation of vitality and energy and destroy the problem. Then it will no longer exist. Then you fill the space with thoughts of what you desire: financial freedom. We are all the total of our reviews. The power we possess is within us, not outside.
The outside manifests our inner power in material wealth such as a house, car, holiday, or whatever object gives you pleasure personally. That is the power of business perception for you.
